Our very own Roseann Freitas and Laurent Chouari recently attended the 2017 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS)
in Orlando, Florida. At KBIS Laurent presented to a crowd of industry leaders on the valuable topic of “Maximizing SketchUp: Best Practices for Quick and Efficient Design Visualization,” elaborating on best practices when drawing and how to use the SketchUp program to achieve design goals. Roseann also had a blast participating in a variety of brainstorming and training opportunities with fellow design and industry experts.
As our design engineer and digital imaging guru, Laurent also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Chaminade University of Honolulu, where he instructs students on utilizing CAD, the design software most often used by architects and interior designers. Laurent has a wealth of experience presenting information in a clear and comprehensive way, so it’s no surprise he entertained KIBS’s crowd of industry leaders with his insights on SketchUp and presenting drawings to clients.
Meanwhile our vice president Roseann Freitas stayed busy at KBIS with her fellow Aloha Chapter board members. As NKBA Aloha Chapter VP of Programs, Roseann had the opportunity to meet and interact with other VP of Programs for chapters across the nation, identifying challenges and brainstorming solutions to benefit others in her role. She also participated in training programs with her fellow Aloha Chapter officers.
We had such a fun time taking on KBIS 2017, and we’re already excited for next year’s event!
