Archipelago Hawaii is a dream fulfilled for Co-founders and Award-winning Designers Rick Cowan (CKD) and his sister Tiare Cowan (CKD, Allied ASID).
Founders’ Diverse Experience
While Rick and Tiare both began their careers with a shared love for the building and design industry, their paths initially took them in separate directions. Rick developed expertise in High-End Custom Construction and Design while Tiare simultaneously became skilled in High-End Residential & Commercial Interior Design plus Furniture, Slipcover & Upholstery selection.
Focus On Collaborative Design
Later in their careers, they both chose to focus on the design field with Tiare establishing TCB Island Interiors and also joining with Rick to purchase Studio Becker-Honolulu. While each business operated independently, the two firms frequently collaborated to best address their clients’ needs.
A Shared Vision
As their collaboration grew and the businesses evolved, Rick and Tiare learned thru numerous client discussions that their customers wanted a complete design for their homes from kitchen cabinetry to window treatments and every detail in between.
With this in mind, Rick and Tiare developed a shared vision of meeting this need and providing an even more comprehensive design solution to their clientele.
Archipelago Hawaii – A Complete Design Resource
To fulfill this vision, Rick and Tiare merged the two companies and their staffs to form Archipelago Hawaii. With their combined exceptional talents under one roof, Archipelago Hawaii offers clients the joint benefits of a complete design resource and the diverse, unique experience of Rick, Tiare and their support staff.
